Supergirl is DC Studios’ newest superhero feature film, directed by Craig Gillespie (Lilo & Stitch, The Good Place) and serving as the second film in the new DC Universe (DCU), part of Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. The story follows Kara Zor-El (Milly Alcock), who, after an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.

The film explores Kara Zor-El’s story and her darker origin before she finally makes her way to Earth, where she is sent by her parents to be raised by her cousin Kal-El (Superman). Jason Momoa joins the cast as the iconic character Lobo.
The film is distributed by Warner Bros. and releases in US theaters on June 26, 2026, with a worldwide release in summer 2026.
